In July 2023, we strengthened our commitment to our employees by recruiting a dedicated Employee Engagement & Marketing Specialist to manage both internal and external communications. Rosie brings extensive experience from both SME and blue-chip environments, including PepsiCo, Adecco, and Compass Facilities, where she worked in consultative roles across sales, account management and marketing. Her client experience spans government, financial services, education, healthcare, and the private sector. Rosie's passion is "our people", so she also oversees our internal Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programme, drawing on her experience in both educational and corporate settings. This involves managing content though our internal platform, running company quarterlies, and regular CSR events. Rosie holds a Degree in Marketing alongside an Advanced Diploma in Life & Professional Coaching.

Philip has worked since early 2018 as the Quality, Health and Safety Officer with SAP Landscapes Ltd. His mechanical engineering and farming backgrounds have allowed Philip to seamlessly transition into the safety side of the landscaping industry. Philip is responsible for ensuring all company employees are up to date with the necessary training requirements and essential certifications. Philip has also helped introduce a new HR system, along with updating and creating many H&S documents. A former student of UCD, where he obtained his qualification in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work.

Geoff has been with SAP Landscapes since 1991 when he came on board as our Chief Executive. Under his leadership, the company has grown from strength to strength, evolving from a medium-sized operation to the largest landscaping business in the country. A great amount of this success can be attributed to Geoff’s sincere belief in our company vision, and to his skill in drawing together a dynamic team of experts to make sure we deliver on it. Likewise, his commitment to quality and driving change in our industry has also played a key role. Even as far back as 1995, Geoff’s guidance saw us become the first landscaping company in Ireland to achieve ISO 9002 accreditation. Starting his career as a quantity surveyor, Geoff understands the importance of looking at every project from the customer’s perspective, and he champions this ethos right through the organisation. He actively promotes continuous learning across the team, and he recently earned a second degree from the UCD Quinn School of Business

As Landscape Director, Colm heads up our landscape construction team. He oversees all day-to-day operations within the division and supports several of our key client accounts. His role incorporates resource and financial management, along with responsibility for the training, quality and safety compliance of the department. Colm is another of our long-standing team members. He first joined us in 1996 as a Foreperson, progressing through contract management roles becoming Senior Operations Manager in 2015 and Landscape Director in 2023 . Before coming on board with SAP Landscapes, he gained experience at several Irish landscaping companies, including Kilmeague Landscapes and Landscapes Restoration. With a Diploma in Amenity Horticulture from Teagasc and a background in horticultural education, Colm’s extensive knowledge and practical expertise are extremely valuable to our team. He ensures the integrity of design from original concept through to finished landscape, delivering better living and working spaces for our customers.

As our Commercial Director, Paul is responsible for fostering client relationships, developing our services portfolio and providing strategic direction for future business growth. He also leads our sales and marketing team and supports key customer accounts. Paul joined us as a Team Leader in 2003, and – in true SAP Landscapes tradition – he has been with us ever since. He quickly flourished within the business and progressed through a number of contract and sales management positions until he was appointed to his current role in 2015. With a background in agricultural management, Paul translates this hands-on experience into strategies that balance our sustainability and environmental priorities with commercial performance. Like Geoff, he is an advocate of continuous learning and improvement, and he too added to his academic qualifications with a Bachelor of Business Studies from UCD in 2016, where he was awarded the Tom Murphy Medal, and most recently earned his Post Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise from UCC in 2023.

Carolyn heads up our accounts division and oversees all financial aspects of the company. Her commercial awareness, comprehensive expertise and proactive approach ensure we have the financial strength to carry out our business activities and the capacity to support our plans for future growth. Contributing to the strategic direction of the company, Carolyn identifies and implements initiatives to improve the financial function. She makes sure that we maximise our accounting and ERP systems, using them as reporting tools to provide data and business insights that help to inform key organisational decisions. The most recent appointment to our Senior Management Team, Carolyn joined us in 2020. She held her previous position as Financial Controller for PD Visual for 16 years and worked in accounting roles with Xtra-vision and Siemens in her early career. Carolyn is a fellowship member of the ACCA, having been awarded FCCA status in 2008 in recognition of her experience and her dedication to CPD and professional ethics.

Niall looks after all areas of our landscape maintenance division. Combining in-depth industry knowledge with exceptional operational skills, he ensures a consistently excellent level of service for our customers. His role encompasses the day-to-day management of our maintenance team and client portfolio, the development of new and improved services within the division, along with planning, logistics and budgetary responsibilities. Epitomising the SAP Landscapes approach to creating meaningful career paths, Niall joined our maintenance team as a Foreperson in 1993, coming to us directly from college. Following subsequent promotions to Contracts Manager and Senior Operations Manager, he was appointed Maintenance Director in 2015. This experience gives Niall a unique understanding of the business, making him keenly aware of our customers’ needs and equally adept at meeting them. He holds a Diploma in Amenity Horticulture from Teagasc, and – like the rest of our Senior Management Team – regularly tops up his training and qualifications.

Since joining our organisation in June 2023, David has consistently demonstrated his enthusiasm, exceptional attention to detail, and strong leadership skills. With his extensive maintenance experience as a head greenkeeper for over 5 years and his time with Bord Na Mona, David brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his Maintenance Training Manager role, working with our maintenance personnel to maximize their potential and contribute to our collective growth at SAP Landscapes.
