When the first green shoots of our business emerged nearly half a century ago, the original intention of our founders was the same back then as it is for us today. We want to be the best at what we do through hard work, dedication and care for the environment.
45 years on and we’re happy to say that we are still delivering on that ambition. We have developed into a team of over 230, we’ve worked on some of the country’s most exciting and ground-breaking projects – like Citywest and the National Stud – and our work is consistently recognised by our industry’s awarding bodies.
To maintain this position, we know we need to keep the momentum going. We are constantly learning, innovating and growing as an organisation, developing our capabilities and enhancing our services. This ensures we can help our customers in ways that really do make a difference, creating better spaces that contribute to a better world – both now and for the future.

A Story of Growth
1971
The seed for SAP Landscapes was sown in 1971 when the SAP Group opened its first nursery in Co. Kildare.
1976
Five years later, and the shoots of the company that we are today had emerged. Responding to the demand for fully designed and installed outdoor spaces within the commercial sector, the Group developed a landscape construction service – and, in 1976, SAP Landscapes was officially established.
2002
In the years that followed, we grew as a business, adding branches to our offering by continually broadening our skills and capabilities.
2003
With our landscape construction service in full bloom, we recognised the need for a separate grounds maintenance team to relieve the pressure on our construction resources. We created a stand-alone landscape maintenance service, providing a dedicated support for our widening customer base.
2004
By 2004, we were one of Ireland’s leading landscaping companies – but we had outgrown our original location and risked becoming pot-bound. Investing in our future, we put down permanent roots at our purpose-built facility on an 8-acre site in Maynooth.
2015
Our new home gave us the room we needed to flourish as an organisation, expanding our team, our skill set and our resources. It also provided the infrastructure to add more specialist services, like our winter maintenance packages and an evolving range of environmentally focused offerings.
2022
Today, we continue to grow and thrive as a business. We have always been proud of our green credentials, but the dedicated environmental services and supports we now deliver underline our commitment to creating better spaces for us all.
